Version: desconocido (using KDE 3.5.2, Debian Package 4:3.5.2-2 (testing/unstable)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15 I hope the attached image shows my suggestion. It could be nice if amarok draws in a different color each album introcuded in the playlist. I'm speaking just about entire albums, but not about partial or not organized albums in the playlist. So the only case I mean is when the user select and album in the "Collection" tab and drops it in the playlist (or press "Add to playlist"). If the user add a other artist's song inside a colored album the color simply dissapears. The purpose of this is to show easily the differents albums in the playlist and recognize them faster. For example it could be useful when loading two albums of the same artist in the playlist: it takes some time to me to recognize both of them if they are together. Note: The chosen colors in the image are not the best possible colors, it is only a mockup to understand the idea, no more.

Maybe a good idea but please as an option!!! I don't want such feature in my amaroK, it make ui ugly and i don't need this...
Yes, of course, it could be a check-box in "Look" menu called "Colorize entire albums in playlist". ;)
Heh, I kinda like this idea. Would be hard to find different colors that would work in different color schemes though.
Note that I have changed (improved) the idea and now it's very different so I've closed this wish and created a new one: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126908
