Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux If you save a message as a draft, it won't be signed (which can be configured, I know). This is a good thing, because I wouldn't want to input my passphrase, just to save a draft. Also the signature would have to be removed before editing the draft again and a new signature would have to be generated. The problem is: If you edit the message again and then send it out as usual, it won't be signed. This is not what I expect when automatic signing is switched on. It should at least ask me if I want to sign or not. In my eyes this is a bug - I just sent out an important mail without a signature because of this.
Confirmed. When doing "Edit Message" in the drafts folder, the "Sign Mail..." button is not activated anymore (as it was when saving the mail into Drafts).
I find this very annoying. Did it come in when fixing "Don't sign on saving drafts"? Bug 28072 Comment 5 seems to note that behaviour. (Confirming for 1.9.5. ) Please fix :-D
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
