I'd be happy to provide an ethereal log for this same problem if you can tell me how to do it. I'm using kmail on Kubuntu 5.10 with a Mirapoint IMAP server and it appears that kmail re-downloads and then re-uploads every message in my INBOX every time even a single new message comes in. Stephen, when your connection is _not_ encrypted: start kmail, start ethereal, click on the folder where you observe this, stop ethereal, save, done. Make sure your password is not included in the trace. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 122199 ***
