Description Maciej Pilichowski 2006-03-19 13:39:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Please change all single error/warning dialog boxes to "summarized" ones.

Let me show you an example. I wrote and moved to queue several mails using identity A. Then I wrote another mail as B. When sending it appear that my IP is on the black-list for A, but B doesn't care -- but I have to read whole error-message each time the mail via A is sent /it is not actually/ and confirm that I want to continue sending just to get to sending via B.

Better approach is like this -- the first sending fails. The "live" error-dialog box appears with ONE "abort" button and with listbox /or anything similar/ with list of errors. Next mail fails, no problem, next error on the list /once it appears the dialog box remains/, so I could see what is going on, however:
* I can abort the whole operation as before
* I do not have to do anything, I just can watch, if I want to continue

At the end the abort button should be labeled "Done" with appropriate message saying that job is done. Minor advantage is that is very hard to mis-click at the other kind of error -- for example:
black-list, black-list, black-list, black-list, no connection, black-list, black-list, etc.

At the end I can see summary! Of course if there is no error there should be no summary /or in the next version it should be an option what to put in the summaries :-)/. And maybe an option if the KMail should "pause" at the first error.
