Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Howdi, Apologies if this is already filed, but I couldn't find anything resembling it. The problem with middle-click on title-bar set to 'lower' a window is that it keeps it active. This is barely noticeable without translucency implemented -- you just need to click on the front window to bring it into focus. But with translucency (xcomp stuff, I mean) it becomes hugely uncomfortable, because the only near-opaque window is now at the bottom of the stack, and everything else then blends into an visual muddle. Extending the options in Desktop | Window Behaviour | Titlebar Actions to include 'lower and inactivate' would be one solution. Presumably kwin has a good understanding of what the 'next' window to activate would be (I'm guessing it'd be whatever would come up if you had done 'alt-tab' instead, say). Thanks, Jedd.
