Version: 0.12 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Compiler: g++ (GCC) 4.0.3 20051204 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.0.2-5ubuntu2) OS: Linux Whenever an incoming webcam invitation or an incoming filetransfer box shows up, it steal focus, so 99% of the times I CANCEL the webcam because the focus in not only on the new window (this is addressed in bug #116761) but also on the cancel button ! Can you arrange for this webcam window to ignore ENTER accelerator which triggers the cancel action. Some less easy way to cancel the webcam session with the keyboard should be implemented.
I second this! The current behaviour is extremely annoying!

Yes, would be really nice to see that fixed.
I still wish the developer changes the properties of the button so it does not get any keystrokes as a click. but for the time being I got a little workaround. it's especially good if you always chat with the same person. here it is somekool@krypton ~ $ cat .kde/share/config/kwinrulesrc [1] above=true # always on top aboverule=2 acceptfocus=false # no focus to the window possible acceptfocusrule=2 clientmachine=krypton clientmachinematch=0 description=Window settings for kopete desktop=-1 desktoprule=2 minimize=false # never minimize minimizerule=2 noborder=true # no border noborderrule=2 position=704,527 # bottom right corner positionrule=2 title=Webcam for YOUR_BEST_FRIEND_HERE@hotmail.com - Kopete titlematch=1 types=32 wmclass=kopete kopete wmclasscomplete=true wmclassmatch=1 so its like you got a permanent view on your friend whatever work you do ... i like it.
the number of times I instantly close a webcam because I'm half way though typing and press space/enter ......
Same observed here, how is this still UNCONFIRMED if 125621 was closed as DUPLICATED of this one?

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
