Description Alexander Stein 2006-02-17 11:35:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc-3.4.4
OS: Linux

When an IMAP server is in maintenance but it still accept connections, kmail keeps requesting for the (correct) password. The password is correct, but login is disabled on server side but kmail doesn't know, so it ends in an infinite loop requesting the password

Also kmail ends up in this loop if there is no host configured for an imap server which somehow happened to me. This left me unable to change this in kmail because the was no way to get behind this password entry loop.

The same behavior is described in bug 122096. I'll mark this as a duplicate then.
