Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Firefox has it: we could have a new global setting "smart": every page is opened with ad-content and javascripts blocked, and 2 similar button-menus are in the statusbar.(one for javascript, other for ad-content) Each button-menu has 3 choiches,example: one let users allow the javascripts limited to session one to permanently allow and another to remove the host if already allowed (removing from both permanent list or session list)
I absolutely agree. Managing white-lists in konqueror for JavaScript AND Java AND Cookies AND Plugins is a total mess. This should be unified somehow. In KDE 4.2 konqueror already got an ad-block icon and I'm really wishing for the other stuff to get one to. The Firefox-plugins NoScript and CookieSafe should give good inspiration on that matter. The Browser development is quite active right now (Chrome, Safari etc.). So it's the right time to fix this long-term usability issue. ;-)

Something like CS Lite and NoScript is what I need before I can consider switching from Firefox. That is, easy pop-up menus to let me add an entry to the JavaScript and cookie permissions. The pop-up for JavaScript should work like NoScript, listing sites that have tried to use scripts and allowing me to choose a site to enable scripts for that site with one click. Similarly for cookies, a popup like CS Lite that allows me to set cookie permissions for a site that has requested cookies, in one click.
