Description Sebastian Turzański 2006-01-07 10:45:15 UTC
Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE 3.5.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11

let's say i have 2 columns and i want each of them to contain a table - i tried to make a long table which would be long enough not to fit in one column on the page and i hoped it would pass to the seccond column but it doesn't . instead it is prelonged on the other page leaving the 2nd column of the first page empty.

So i tried to make another parallel table in the seconnd column but i just couldn't because the cursor in the second column can't be higher then the hight of the bottom of the table in the first column

Not sure I fully understand. You should try to insert a page-brake in the first column, just after the first table. After which inserting the 2nd table should not pose any problems.

If I misunderstood you, maybe you can draw an example image of what you want to accomplish?

ahh ok - but not ok

Your advise with "page break" and it worked but it's not very intuitive because u dont' realy end the page just a column.
But my case was just a workaround because i tried to make "50" row table in blank 2 table page and the last rows were aout of paper instead of beeing moved to the second column

Yes, I see.
But thats a known bug; lets join it with the already open one on the topic.
