Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0KDE 1.2) Installed from: UnspecifiedUnspecified OS: Linux Kopete could relate the contacts with the address book, using the e-mail, id's, etc. This is useful at first-time we configure an account or when a new contact wants to be added. Or even, how it happened, when kopete gets beserk :) and we have to delete all kopete data.
I think it can be interesting. Some basic checking could be matching the mail adress with the im adress (I suppose I'm not the only one having my im adresses like name@domain...)
When would it do the checking? Not at start-up every time, because kopete loads up slowly enough as it is. Could we have a "run metacontact grouping/integrating wizard now"(except not in those words) tick box under the "connect now" tick box when you create a new account?
