Description Oded Arbel 2005-11-04 18:13:03 UTC
Version:           1.8.92 (using KDE 3.4.92 (beta2, >= 20051010), Mandriva Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler:          Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-6mdksmp

After creating a new disconnected IMAP account, the folder list isn't fetched from the server.

One can
- open and collapse the account's root entry in the folder list to no effect
- select the root entry
- even open the subscribe dialog (which actually does list all the subscribed folders) and close it
All without causing kmail to display the IMAP folders in the folder list view.

The only way to get KMail to sync the folder list is to do a full mail check for that account (which then goes to great lengths to download all emails from the server).

I think that disconnected IMAP should first download the list of folders (similar to what the "subscribed folders" dialog does) and have it displayed in the folder list view, before doing a mail check and actually downloading all the mail.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
