Description min 2005-10-22 19:35:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.92)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux

Email addresses are not validated in 3.5 beta 2. They're also not validated in 3.4.

They are indeed validated if I use the 'Edit email addresses' dialog, but no validation occurs when editing the email address directly from the contact editor.

For some reason, they seem to get validated also if you go to some other tab in the "Edit Contact" dialog other than "General" after you editted the contact's email address in "General".

Anyway, I saw that problem in 3.4.3, but it seems to be gone in 3.5.

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
