Description Jens 2005-08-29 10:41:11 UTC
Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE 3.4.2 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-21.8-default

Hi,
it is apparently impossible ATM to *delete* the contents of a DVD+RW, without filling it with new content. This is an important feature when you want to re-use DVDs that contain confidential data, but also when you want to erase old backups so you have less confusion about which data is still important.

Please provide a way to create an empty FS on a DVD, reasing its contents. I have a couple DVD+RWs here that cannot be erased or overwritten either because mkisofs complains the filenames on the media contain invalid characters. This would be also solved with this wish.
