Description Jason Voegele 2005-07-28 14:35:05 UTC
Version: 1.2.3 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3.3 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-686

My proxy settings in the KDE Control Panel are set to use a proxy configuration URL. This works perfectly fine for Konqueror and other applications. However, with this setting, amaroK's Audioscrobbler support does not work. When I play a new track, amaroK attempts to contact Audioscrobbler but it cannot. This has the bad side effect that the "Current" tab on the Context Browser freezes and displays nothing.

Now, when I change the proxy settings to either "Connect to the Internet Directly" (when I'm not behind the firewall) or to "Manually specify the proxy settings" (when I am behind the firewall), everything works perfectly.

Please let me know if you need any more information or if there is anything else I can do to help narrow the problem.
