Description Daniel O'Connor 2005-06-25 10:37:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
OS: FreeBSD

If I run kopete when I have no network connection the ICQ plugin continually tries to reconnect. A window pops up saying it can't connect to the ICQ network and if I hit OK it just comes back again and again.. I've tried holding down enter for a few minutes but there seems to be no end to it :( The only way I can stop it is to kill the kopete process.

I like auto reconnection but it would be nice if it tried, say, 3 times and then gave up :)

Also I think it would be best of failure notification like this happens via a popup bubble so it's not so "in your face".

This is easily reproducable by me if I drop my default route and run kopete. I have 5 account types - yahoo, icq, MSN, jabber and AIM.
