Version: 1.7.2 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages I regularly receive from mailman mailing lists MIME Digests. The individual messages are mime parts, and in kmail they show up as encapsulated messages. I would like to handle these encapsulated messages as individuals, delete some, move one out of the digest into a folder, or reply to a specific message, replying to the sender or to the mailing list, quoting only the specific part, keeping the thread information, etc. I see that bug #60813 claims that reply should be working as of KDE 3.2 But it does not. When I right click on the "encapsulated message" text, I only have the opportunity to open it (save or open with kwrite), view it in a kmail window, but there is no way to reply. When I click, it tries to open (save/kwrite) Even if I switch on the message structure viewer, that does not help. I can click on the message that I want to manipulate, it opens in the preview pane, but I cannot move it, when I press del, the whole digest is deleted, and when I click reply, the digest is replied, with the list head quoted only. I would expect that when I right click, there will be reply and delete in the menu. I would expect that clicking on the encapsulated message opens it (view) in a kmail window, but in one, where I have some buttons, like reply, forward, print, delete, etc. So in a window similar that appears when I open a single normal message. Also I would like to highlight a mime part and drag it into a folder. Right now it just selects everything. A strange thing is (and probably the reason why these things do not work) that when I view the same digest in mutt, it lists the mime parts as message/rfc822, but kmail lists them as Plain Text Document. Probably it does not realize that these are messages? Cheers, Gabor Cheers, Gabor
Appears to be the same for KDE 3.4.0 / KMail 1.8. If I receive a MIME digest, I cannot find any way to reply to an individual part. I can only reply to the whole digest (which gives the digest's summary Subject rather than the message, breaks threading etc)
