Version: 1.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8) Debian on Opteron pure64 OS: Linux Sounds similiar to bug 72340, but since that one is already closed... On a new start of Kontact no Organizer (calendar, todo, etc.) information is visible anymore if stored in IMAP (I actually did not try it on files). It also does not show up if KOrganizer is started without Kontact (it just starts KMail, but doesn't do anything with it). It is possible to create new information, but it disappears after stopping and re-starting Kontact. The information does show up as iCal/vCal attachments to mails in the groupware folders - it is just not retrieved from the server (3.3 always loaded dozens of items on startup, 3.4 just loads anything needed for the current mail display). I see that problem here with KDE 3.4 (on AMD64), it worked fine with 3.3 (on x86). Most data was created with 3.3, but some test data with 3.4 (see above). Version: KDE 3.4 as originally released (no patches) Compiled: with gcc (GCC) 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8) on: Opteron, with pure64 Debian (sarge) IMAP: Cyrus 2.1 server, "IMAP Account" (online IMAP), no prefix to folders (I want to see my "public" folders), connection secured with TLS
Same thing here!! :-( * KDE-3.4 (Gentoo Split ebuilds) * Courier IMAP server 4.0.1 * connection secured with SSL exactly the same results as the OP describes. Plus: - adding a new appointment pops up a messagebox ("item could not be saved") although there *IS* a new item being saved in the IMAP folder - contacts in kaddressbook are also not shown, same thing
Oh, I forgot some facts: * IMAP "online" account, as opposed to disconnected imap * the account also holds my normal emails * groupware folders are subfolders of a special folder called "groupware"
it works with disconnected imap
I tried it with disconnected IMAP on my installation after filing this bug report: it did not work for me.
Sidenote: It won't work with online IMAP.
That one is for till.
- online imap will not work, only disconnected imap - the folder must be subfolders of INBOX
