Description Steven Giles 2005-04-07 17:10:50 UTC
Version: 0.10 (using KDE 3.4.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.2 [FreeBSD] 20040728
OS: FreeBSD (i386) release 5.4-STABLE

With kopete and aim clients. Can send aim chat message to a client and the client receives successfully, but when they respond I don't get the response back. So it is kind of one sided chat.

Does this happen only after some time that you've been connected?

Can you check, when this happens, if you can change status (from online to away, for instance)?

probably a dupe.

This seems similar to Bug 104561 rather than a duplicate of Bug 101626. When I experience this bug, it can happen at any time after logging in. I tested with a friend of mine who was aliased on the server, and was unable to receive messages back even immediately after logging in. Deleting him from my buddy list and recreating the contact fixed the issue. His alias had a space in it, but I'm not sure that's the problem, as I've had no problems with other people who were aliased with spaces in their nicknames.
