Description Danny Dorfman 2005-03-30 09:23:28 UTC
Version: 2.3 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

dannyd@fox:~> kate -v
Qt: 3.3.3
KDE: 3.3.0
Kate: 2.3

I am using Exceed V7.0 (on Windows) as my X server. I am having a strange problem with selecting characters using the keyboard. Whenever I hold down the SHIFT key, and try to select text using the arrow keys, nothing happens. (I can select text using the mouse, and I can use the SHIFT+arrow technique in other applications, such as "gedit").

No, it's still open. I marked this one a duplicate of that one.
