Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu2 (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-386 Links: ------- http://www.w3.org/International/tutorials/tutorial-lang/#negotiating Picture of IE's language preference settings (from above url): http://www.w3.org/International/tutorials/tutorial-lang/images/fr-lang-settings.gif At least I couldn't find such dialog anywhere in KDE or Konqueror settings, if there is one, maybe it should be easier to find? :) I think that this should be considered as bug as this is, or at least should be a pretty important feature in a browser. Not too many sites are using this feature yet, but hopefully more and more are every day. Quick hack could solve this temporary; if the Konqueror only would remember which language the user selected and then used that for the specific site. Now it goes index -> select language, click a link -> select language again. Not sure wheter this would be trivial thing to do though :)
It uses your KDE-wide language settings *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 22514 ***
Using KDE-wide language settings is stupid as I might like my www pages in finnish but I use kde in english because I don't like my GUI to be in finnish, or for some other reason. Hate to reopen but I cannot force 22514 to be opened.
Indeed, it's difficult to reopen an already-open bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 22514 ***
