this will pause your statup, clearly not an acceptable default option. do you think a "choose session at startup" option (default off) in the kcontrol would be the way to go? this should be easy to do now and the code in work/kdebase_appgroups also keeps track of the date saved for each session. *** Bug 123212 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** as inspired by bug 123212, the dialog at startup could be optionally activated via holding down a modifier key. this wouldn't be exactly without precedent, even in kde: kdm's auto-login can be suppressed by pressing shift. I don't understand this request. What does the "Ask" option mean? If it's superfluous, then this bug report is mostly a duplicate of others: Bug 46923 covers the ability to optionally save the session on logout. Bug 62157 covers the ability to load different saved sessions on login. I think the only thing novel about this report is the request to suppress restoring the session on login, which is what Bug 123212 was about. |
