If bug 82562 were implemented it seems like this would be trivial... Now that the trash:/ system has been completely reworked, does this wish become more feasible? If that system trash would not be located on imap server, you would not be able to access your deleted email with other email clients. *** Bug 134181 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (regarding comment #3) kmail lets me choose whether Sent or Drafts folder are to be kept on IMAP, or locally - and those are of greater importance, than Trash. But just in case, it is probably good solution to let people make choice which Trash do they want to use. This bug is mainly about implementing local kmail trash in terms of system trash, but the option above is to be remembered. Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
