I have to agree. This behaviour is indeed strange and makes MultiColumn View a bit uncomfortable to use. While it might be true to the term "MultiColumn (ICON) View" I think most people would expect MultiColumn View to behave much more like a kind of "List View" (just with several columns) which would mean: - If you delete files the List gets updated dynamically and redraws its contents - Moving files away from their current position should not work the way it does now: right now you can drag files around while browsing in MultiColumn View - corrupting any alphabetical (or whatever) order they were supposed to be in. I'd say the value of this can be seriusly doubted because it will be gone when you re-enter this folder. - shift-selecting should work as described above Maybe this is not possible or should be done as a seperate "List View" - I don't know. I just think this is what most (new) users would expect such a view to work like. |
