KNode already does something very close to this--it lets you move the panes to any location you prefer. It doesn't collapse long lines into 2 rows as the poster suggests, but it does allow for complete user customization of the layout. Perhaps some code reuse is possible here? Using more than one line per mail in the message list is already covered by bug 81272. And the three-pane-side-by-side thing is already covered by bug 61671. Unfortunately, the total number of votes per account is limited, so in fact this leads to less votes per feature...

That is intended I think. You only have 100 votes, and the two things mentioned here are separate features. Though luck :) |
