I'm not able to reproduce the issue with some quick tests, but the steps to reproduce are pretty thin, and there are a lot of relevant settings here (task manager configuration, panel thickness, number of open apps, etc). I'd appreciate a screen recording so I can be sure I'm testing in the same way that you're able to reproduce the issue. Thanks! I think you have to have enough apps in the tray icon are for this bug to appear. https://rumble.com/v4ikkbl-kde-6-bug.html It looks like this is actually an issue of the implicit sizes of widgets being wrong, which causes the overlap we see at the beginning of your video. Let's verify that: the very first time an app icon overlaps something in the System Tray, can you right-click on the panel and choose Enter Edit mode, then exit it? Does that make the overlap stop happening? Does that make the overlap stop happening? Yeah, it stops overlap from happening but only in edit mode, when I go back it still overlaps a traybar. Fascinating, thanks. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #5) > Fascinating, thanks. Any update? There are a lot of changes to Task Manager code for Plasma 6.1. Can you upgrade once it comes out (in less than a week) and see if it's fixed for you? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #7) > There are a lot of changes to Task Manager code for Plasma 6.1. It is fixed but now when changing to two rows space in first row is not fully utilized. https://i.imgur.com/22UKlyx.png Ok, that's something different, likely fallout from the thing that caused Bug 488733. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #10) > Ok, that's something different, likely fallout from the thing that caused > Bug 488733. I checked it in 6.1.1 and the second bug still exists. Shall I open a ticket? Yes please, if you can still reproduce it in 6.1.2. |
