ISSUE IN: x11 (x.org): NO Wayland: YES After Updating opensuse tumbleweed on my MacbookPro Laptop, the Wayland session only gives a black screen that only shows the mouse pointer, again, no mouse context menus are shown I booted into X11, went to Settings > display and made the 'other' monitor/screen the default Primary monitor i then logged out of x11 and logged into Wayland - same display issue UPDATE: I have disconnected my Philips 200P7 20" Monitor connected by DVI cable to AMD/ATI Radeon video to my Motherboards built-in DVI connector That monitor now displays a working screen ON DATE: Monday the 28th of February, 2022 can replicate the issue in my setup with Arch, with 2 GPUs I have 1 display connected to each GPU. since 5.24.2 only the second GPU has signal, display settings can't be changed if the issue is present and if the second display is disconnected the system crashes. a workaround is to start the session with only the main display connected and then connecting the second display and it'll work as expected, downgrading to kwin 5.24.1 is also a workaround GPUs: AMD RX 470 (HDMI Display) AMD HD 6950 (DVI Display) Related Bug 448220 One or both dual monitors powers off after login to Wayland KDE https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448220 This issue is specific to multi-gpu and has been fixed in 5.24.3 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 450737 *** |
