There isn't a generic protocol for this on Wayland right now, which would need to be implemented and agreed upon first. One is being worked on: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/-/merge_requests/50 I'm not sure what Nate is referring to. Plasma can activate other apps from the task manager. Animation should be the same. I didn't think we had animations from currently unlaunched-pinned apps on X though. on X, there are two animations that I can observe when launching an application pinned to the icon-only taskbar. One is the bouncy icon animation attached to the cursor and the other is the spinning circle animation attached to the pinned icon itself. On Wayland, there is nothing. Neither animation is played. I hope I have described the animations correctly! I confirm the issue reported by Pawel. No animation on the task manager icons and no bouncing/blinking mouse pointer. Oh! Startup Indicators. Now I understand Nate's reference. Yep. :) *** Bug 436603 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 402903 *** |
