(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: 1.4 (using KDE 3.0.0 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18
OS/Compiler notes:

While all message options available in the pull-down menu might be too much for the message context menu I am missing the threading option in particular for the folders menu. It would be nice to have it right there in the context. The reason I keep needing this is that the threading setting is sometimes lost when moving folder around (maybe only mboxes). No report on that yet because I cannot reproduce it reliably.
Thank you very much!

Related: 37771.
bug 78516 also suggests that the option should be moved to the View menu.

In bug 78516 I suggested a bit more than is described here (especially threading-toggle icon), I would like to have this suggestion considered too...
Comment 4 Steven T. Hatton 2005-11-16 05:29:03 UTC
It seems to me the message threading should be grouped together, rather than split between "Folder" and "View". The current design seems to reflect software architecture, and not workflow.
