I remember that in the past the view mode was recorded in application settings file and restored between sessions... Gilles Caulier Created attachment 129776 [details] restoreLastView.patch This patch would restore the last view, this would also fix bug 370297. The question is, do we want to change the behavior in the digiKam-7.0.0 release? Maik Maik, Good Q. I remember somebody reporting a bug about this a completely opposite way, if i'm not too wrong: never store the last main view mode between sessions. Right ? The Q is : what's the risk and why this specific behavior. If this is true, well, this will require another settings to customize this behavior, and of course, later 7.0.0. Gilles Look here : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370297 Gilles I played with it a little. I don't like restoring the last view. If the last view was the preview, the last item should also be restored. Maybe a simple option in the setting to only switch between the icon view and table. Maik Maik, I agree i vote for one option to restore last used view, disabled by default. Gilles *** Bug 370297 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
