STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the app;
2. RMB in Project Bin;
3. Select Add Clip or Folder;
4. Select Video in the left part of the window;
5. Select a file in the right part;
6. Press OK.

OBSERVED RESULT
I get an error "You can only select local files".

EXPECTED RESULT
I can select a file and it will be added to Project Bin.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10 1909 x64

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The same situation when I try to select file via Windows Shortcut, which was made by user. See a video https://youtu.be/8N_Ic7423uw . Same "file:///" and errors.

Very helpful video. Please remove ".link" from the folder name and try again.

There is not ".link" in a folder name. It is Shortcut (.lnk) file in Windows. Kdenlive does not work with them correct and people cannot use the app.

Aah, I see you mean open clips from a shortcut (linked) folder. Confirmed, this doesn't work. But I get "locks" on the clip icons.

Still the same issue with Kdenlive 24.12 on Windows.
