reassigning to plasmashell, KWin is probably only affected as plasma triggers repaints. Found interesting correlation: https://yadi.sk/i/7g4UwscZwOF4xA It seems that there is one more bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 384532 *** |
Created attachment 116224 [details] kwin perf svg SUMMARY Kwin version: 5.14.3 After update and fresh system reboot I've noticed that rendering performance is degraded. Using top I found that kwin and plasma shell permanently uses 10-15% of CPU. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. update to 5.14.3 2. reboot system 3. open shell to see top OBSERVED RESULT bad rendering performance and high cpu usage EXPECTED RESULT good rendering performance without lags SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 4.19.0-gentoo (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51.0 Qt Version: 5.11.2-r1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION In attachments I'll provide perf.svg for kwin and plasmashell.
