Question is: where should the user information be shown? The tab label should be as short as possible and it will already include the server name in the current git repo for the same reason. I was thinking not in the tab labels, but in the upper bar, where you can change from folder level clicking on ">". In that place, user can be put before the server and even you can gain space stretching the one before and after each ">" (see attached image). Is only an idea. Thank you Created attachment 105962 [details]
Suggestions for showing user on fish or ftp connections
They are only suggestions. I'm sure someone can have better ideas.
Sorry, I made a mistake (my English is not very good). I wrote "streched" (without T) and should be "narrowed", not "stretched" (the fact is that the verb "estrechar" in Spanish is "to narrow", that's the reason of my mistake). Sorry. The full URL (with username and file path) in the panel tooltip is already implemented and will be in the next release. Suggestions 1 and 2 are difficult to implement because the widget used here (KUrlNavigator) is part of KF5-KIO and not directly included in Krusader. Another whish for the frameworks-kio would be better (the widget is also used e.g. in Dolphin). Thank you for the information. I didn't know these details. I'll suggest it to KIO developers.
