This bug is going on three years, and I'm still hitting it. I just installed Neon (neon-user-20191226-1116.iso). Logged in. Installed Kmail. Started it. New profile dialog came up, and then it put up a dialog box: The Email program encountered a fatal error and will terminate now. The error was: Invalid parent Letting KMail die, and starting it again seems to let it proceed, but it did fail on both fresh installs I tried. Joshua, do you get the same backtrace? The backtrace from comment 0 shows a crash in QtWebEngine, but the reporter used a Qt version that is now very old. Fix with kmail 22.04.01. |
