the problem
We are currently redesigning the Plasma editing experience. There are two options: Either the Widget Explorer (the "thing to add objects") is always at the same place, or it is always next to the panel. If we put it next to the panel, then we'd also have to make it horizontal for horizontal panels. The first option provides consistency whereas the second one offers shorter distances between explorer and panel. I currently lean towards keeping the first option, but it's not been decided yet. I'm increasing the priority of this because setting kwin to give focus to the window under the mouse, on the way of the mouse across the screen, the plasma thing loses focus and disappears. *** Bug 390575 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
