debugview tablet stroke log for cintiq 21ux
attachment-26099-0.html

Description Joshua Grubbs 2015-03-17 20:56:28 UTC
When drawing or mousing over the canvas the cursor is offset to the left by approximately 1/4 of an inch. I am using a Wacom Cintiq 21ux with Dual monitors. The Cintiq is calibrated properly and this problem does not occur in any other paint program.

Reproducible: Always

Hi Joshua,

Thanks for your report. I'll need more information, though, since I cannot reproduce it with my cintiq hybrid companion/windows 7.

* do you have any non-standard wacom settings?
* do you have desktop scaling enabled?

Could you run debugview (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb896647.aspx)?

Start debugview, then start Krita, press ctrl-shift-t (this enabled tablet logging) and then draw a stroke. Please save the debugview log to a text file and attach it to the bug report.

debugview tablet stroke log for cintiq 21ux

It seems to work properly here (2.9.5, win8.1, cintiq21ux), but I thought I'd include my log of a stroke as well. Just in case it is helpful as a reference.
Comment 4 Joshua Grubbs 2015-06-20 18:35:21 UTC
Thanks Marcus. I figured out a little more about the bug. It seems to be specific to multiple monitors of different resolutions. The same issue happens using ToonBoom. I have found that if I disable the primary monitor it works fine. It may be a video driver issue at this point.
Comment 5 Halla Rempt 2015-06-20 19:01:27 UTC
Hm... We probably still need a dialog to override what the video and wacom drivers tell us about the monitor, desktop and tablet dimensions.

Using a Wacom Cintiq 12wx as the second monitor

In the NVIDIA Control panel, if you select "Adjust desktop size and position" then select the wacom monitor, if you tick the "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs"

for a couple of seconds, the cursor is correctly positioned until for some unknown reason, that option becomes un-ticked and you get the offset when the pen is over the canvas again

to add to my previous comment, if you draw some crosses on the screen, then try and place a dot in the centre of that cross, at the top of the page, the mark is just left of centre, the further down the page you go, the lower the cross on the page, the lower the dot

Does this still happen with krita 3.0, and if so, have you tried to follow

https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#How_to_fix_a_tablet_offset_on_multiple_screen_setup_on_Windows

?
Comment 12 stephen 2016-06-20 17:15:31 UTC
Just tried the again so I could say where it failed, but this time it worked, thank you :D

I'm pretty sure that problem was resolved a long time ago. I'm guessing it
never got closed out
