I have no printers configured in my system so I can't help you much, but I guess this bug should be marked as whislist. This bug affects me also. There is no way to change password windows printer via samba. In my work, I have to change the password monthly !! I found a workaround for this bug: https://idyllictux.wordpress.com/2009/12/02/kubuntukarmic-change-smb-network-printer-authentication/ Ok, now I understood your question, I'm not exactly sure one can change the device URI, can you do this change on CUPS web interface http://localhost:631 ? Oh and that workaround is for an old KDE tool, might work for print-manager too but I can't remember :) (In reply to Daniel Nicoletti from comment #4) > Ok, now I understood your question, I'm not exactly sure one can change the > device URI, can you do this change on CUPS web interface > http://localhost:631 ? No, I didn't find a way to do it with CUPS. However, gnome printer manager has this feature.(In reply to Daniel Nicoletti from comment #5) > Oh and that workaround is for an old KDE tool, might work for print-manager > too but I can't remember :) It works fine with KDE plasma 5.11 Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
