Could you be more specific: by "frozen" do you mean it displays the "Retrieving folder contents" indefinitely? Or does the whole user interface freeze so you cannot click on anything? Created attachment 77390 [details] kmail_frozen.png Hi Tuuka, Thanks for looking at this, I use Kmail since version 1.0, I hope it can contribute to kmail improvement. Well, what happened was I could not see any message, it got frozen saying "Retrieving Folder contents", I was able to click everywhere, but no message appeared. I just happened again before replaying this message. I got a screenshot and it is attached. There are several bugs with similar symptoms, this might be a duplicate of one of these https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288364 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213662 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292909 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=290833 I have had similar problems, sometimes retrieving a message takes a very long time or never completes. I recently upgraded to 4.10.0 and the problem has stayed away since so far. This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months. Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input. |
