*** Bug 325638 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 329344 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** unconfirmed? Why hasn't anybody bothered to open their system settings to confirm whether, or not, there is a scanner dialog to go with the others such as camera, tablet, or printer setup options? Please respond. Kindest regards; Scorch. Normally there is nothing to configure in systemsettings for scanners. In openSuse I have seen that you can add/remove scanners in yast, but that is only for specifying if the scanner can be used or not. On Ubuntu ther is nothing to configure. The scanner should "Just Work" :) Yeah, there's not really a need for a config UI here because everything "just works". For multifunction devices, typically the scanner is attached to a printer which is configured via the printers KCM. Perhaps we could rename it "Printers & Scanners" or something. That's what macOS does. |
