But does running Sweeper empty the RecentDocuments folder?

Yes, it does. It also has no effect on what appears in the the Recently
Used tab. It behaves identically to a right-click and then clicking
Remove Recent Documents.
Thanks,
Jonathan
See also bug 244537 and bug 194003. I can confirm this. I didn't have this problem until I installed the 3.0 kernel. Since updating the kernel I've experienced quite a few bugs, this one is the first I noticed. I'm not sure that the new kernel is the cause; in fact, it seems unlikely to me. However, I didn't have any issues until I made the kernel upgrade. My system: Archlinux x86_64 linux 3.0 KDE 4.7.0 Nvidia 280.13-1 P.S. Jonathan, aren't you also running the Linux 3.0 kernel on your Debian machine? FYI - I'm Pennyless from the KDE forum. Lamar Clark ha scritto il 05/09/2011 20:05:

Hi PennyL,
Yes, indeed: 3.0-4.dmz.1-liquorix-amd64, to be precise.
ciao,
Jonathan
SOLVED!!! I had a kernel update this morning to 3.0.0-4.dmz.2-liquorix-amd64. After rebooting with this new kernel all the symptoms disappeared. This is consistent with Lamar Clark's suggestion or it could be a coincidence. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 281497 *** |
