Description Hussam Al-Tayeb 2011-09-06 20:21:09 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

recent applications list updates properly but recent documents list fails to update till I restart plasma-desktop.
This means "clear recent documents" operation doesn't show till I restart plasma-desktop and newly opened documents don't appear in the list till I restart plasma-desktop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
open kickoff application launcher and select 'recently used' then 'clear recent documents'
or open a document from dolphin

Expected Results:
The list should get cleared if I 'clear recent documents' without the need to restart plasma-desktop.
Newly opened documents should appear in the list without the need to restart plasma-desktop.

This is a regression from kde 4.6
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2011-09-07 11:45:26 UTC
Do you use Linux kernel 3.0? If yes, can you confirm that going back to 2.6.x solves this issue?
Comment 3 Hussam Al-Tayeb 2011-09-07 12:12:26 UTC
Ah yes, I do use linux 3.0
I will try and see if I can locate a 2.6.x package and try. Thank you very much.
