Where do you see this string: "suspend after x minutes of inactivity"? This is apparently misleading since it means inactivity from the user, not from applications. But I can't see this string in the Power settings anywhere, at least not in KDE 4.7.0 on Kubuntu 11.04 or 11.10. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 > --- Comment #1 from Myriam Schweingruber <myriam kde org> 2011-08-13 09:53:31 --- > Where do you see this string: "suspend after x minutes of inactivity"? But I can't see this string in the Power settings anywhere, at > least not in KDE 4.7.0 on Kubuntu 11.04 or 11.10. The setting in question is at System Settings -> Power Management -> Power Profiles. However, the point of this wish list item is not that this setting is misleading (and shout be rephrased). The point of this wish list item is that with the current stack of Amarok/Phonon/PowerDevil/KDE, a laptop on batteries will suspend after x minutes while music is playing. This is, imho, not the desirable behavior. As I said in the original report, Amarok may not be the place to fix it. If so, please reassign as appropriate. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJORlGGAAoJEO5Qu2WzNikSGJUH/0KUI/U5IMUEpNtMIWuUCUCZ KWWq36jrAjBJTlK5/7RiLCkzr/nD7lY19kP9Xf/Tqw0Ger66wDJI3updz0sR6UBg vRKL6rot6evYLhdqbZDNmoNNhWuk3NvTN/n7D98FZ66+XiKLw2oCzDeUAWCcrZDK VBRZKoz/IGT2F4eOvVOkekpMIa/gQN+cCKDMEkvUl7VVZrq8Cu/SJuTROqQyAd5j GDMbc/TYNlBd4JjiRgtOatUkoOgdX2LP1a0O1PloTPpmj63ahRXZaByCO+lccVsn HxceX9laW22Vhky3rCPhkTd0CXsDjva6YXKcD66XAp6QDago74nywdHB8K7obGo= =IUyI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- The API exists at http://api.kde.org/4.10-api/kdelibs-apidocs/solid/html/namespaceSolid_1_1PowerManagement.html *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 259862 *** |
