*** Bug 278953 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 278998 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I've also noticed this bug. It happens only with XRender compositing type, not OpenGL. (In reply to comment #3) > I've also noticed this bug. This is actually no bug, but currently the wanted and expected behavior >It happens only with XRender compositing type, not OpenGL. If it does not happen with OpenGL then that is a bug I too find the shadows overlaying maximized windows very distracting. Is there a way to let the user choose whether to have this behavior or not? (In reply to comment #3) > I've also noticed this bug. It happens only with XRender compositing type, not > OpenGL. I am using OpenGL for rendering here, and I also have the same issue. What I find particularly irritating is that it cannot be disabled (even when window shadows are disabled, the shadow is still there). Given the feedback we received over the last year it seems to be no real issue. Most users seem to be satisfied with the shadow above the windows so I think it is not worth the effort to change that again. Nevertheless I want to thank you for the change request and highlighting a possible issue. |
