are you sure you are using KWin? If yes KWin applies the Fall Apart animation on all windows. The Drop Down Menu is technically a window, so it is correct to have the animation there. It might technically be a window, but it looks unneeded to have a fall apart animation everytime you click an item in a pull/drop down menu. Consider a webpage with many of such pull/drop menus. It will be too distracting. But it definitely fits for the window close effect. change in behavior -> feature request |
