KDE 4.4 is very old now, we are at KDE 4.6, so you might want to consider to update. Also we need to know your poppler version. Also if you attach one of the files that is making Okular crash it will help. Created attachment 60060 [details]

Had 5 PDF's open in Okular. Reading a 256 page doc, pages appeared blank. Using index to jump back, then page down to scroll caused a crash of that document only. Okular remained open with other files.
This bug could be related to bug 267035 Can you still reproduce this bug with Okular >= 0.19.0 ( KDE >= 4.13.0 )? We have fixed some things about memory management since then and this might be one of them. Thanks for caring about Okular :) OpenSuse 13.1 doesn't yet offer Okular 0.19 so I can't test, but crash problem has not recurred lately. I use Okular almost constantly (4 files open at the moment) so it seems to me that this bug could be put on hold at least. Thanks for the fix :-) Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
