There is already bug 157284, but it was about the generic ability to hide the bottom bar. You (and I) propose to convert it into a movable standard toolbar. In order to show that it’s possible and how easy it is, here a mockup/prototype in PyQt: https://gist.github.com/1081531 In above mentioned bug, there was also the argument that toolbars should only be for actions, not for information, but it was rebuffed by the counterargument that this is neither true in other existing KDE apps (konqueror has a address bar, which displays information), nor even in okular itself (the zoom box is informational, too) PS: the typographic apostrophe is the other way around, like this: ↓ I get it with Shift + Alt Gr + N, for you this might vary (maybe it’s “B” for non-german keyboards) *** Bug 267816 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 279128 *** |
