It would be very usefull if shortcuts for changing the activities will be supportet. 

One possible solutionen: After open the activity window (Meta + Q) changing could happens with pressing 0-9 to change between the first 10 activities

I'm not opposed to this, so if there are people willing to work on it... you have a green light.

In the mean time, you can set a custom keyboard short-cut to run a specific application (in the sys settings). And you can run
qdbus org.kde.ActivityManager /ActivityManager setCurrentActivity <UUID-of-activity>

Not an easy solution, but it works.
