taskbar screenshot tthat displays the problem

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

My taskbar occasionally doesn't display all tasks, its spacing is off, it sometimes shows a task behind another. showing a screen shot of it.

Reproducible: Sometimes

what are the settings for the tasks widget on your panel?

that screenshot is just fine, thanks :)

when this happens, does the entire panel stop painting, or is it just the window listing buttons? do the window buttons react to clicks? mouse hover?

are you using desktop effects? if so, does turning them off help any?

have you noticed any pattern of behaviour that triggers this?

no it occasionally repaints, although usually in a continued incorrect
way, but if I open a new window it might or might not show up. The
ones that are visible still respond to mouse clicks (not sure about
mouse hover and can't check that right now since it's currently not
misbehaving)

yes, but I haven't tried turning them off. Should I try turning them
all off once the corruption has started?

unfortunately I haven't been able to pin it down in any way shape or form.

It looks very much like #248210.. duplicate?
Comment 7 Waldemar Szostak 2011-01-02 18:29:39 UTC
Sorry -- I meant 248262
Comment 8 Caleb Cushing 2011-01-03 00:19:02 UTC
At a glance I would say probably so.

[Comment from a bug triager]
This reminds me of two different issues: bug 224447 (entries overlapped) and bug 226355 (empty space between entries). Could this be related to them ?
Regards
