I'd love to have this option, too. Currently, printing only a selected area is very complicated for unexperienced users as it requires either saving the selection to a file first from which it can be printed or using copy and paste into a another application to print from. I think making a difference between selected text/image when printing doesn't really make sense, so this should be added in the context menu just as a single point above the Text/Image section as "Print selected area". *** Bug 309894 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I do understand there is a lot of things to work on in okular and only limited time. However I do cast my vote for this request. It would save a lot of time as I regularly get large pdfs that are too dense to print on a standard A4 printer. |
