For KDE 4.5, Plasma Workspaces team is going to have a conservative release, fixing bugs, without introducing too much new features. I think there is a tendency to achieve this on the whole KDE SC.... Basically this bugreport is useless. What would be needed as bare minimum to make this useful is: 1. A description of your measurement methods 2. along with 1. which processes did you monitor to come to your numbers 3. Is there anything else that changed on the system Saying "KDE uses 25M more memory" is simply not saying anything, except that you don't like something. There's no "KDE" that could take up memory, there are tons of processes and depending on the actual process 25M more might be close to nothing or a double in size. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 190519 *** |
