Neither root nor the desktop user were members of the plugdev group. Presumably this should have been a problem before, so I either kde 4.3.3 & qt 4.5.3 weren't as strict, or the plugdev membership was removed. I now Windows updates can do such thing, but Gentoo? Linux? KDE? Is it possible to do a forensic analysis and see if group membership was changed? Thanks for the information, I can't really tell the reason of the crash as I'm not a developer, but in any case, it is fixed already now. Thanks |
